近70年来，公司始终坚持为社会提供优良的建筑设计作品和一流的工程技术服务，赢得了良好的社会声誉，逐步形成了“创新创意 至诚至精”的核心价值理念和“服务中国 走向全球”的发展目标。先后在全国30个省、市、自治区及全球近40个国家、地区完成了19000余项工程设计，其中，800余项工程获国家、部、省级优秀设计奖和科技进步奖。公司设计的黄鹤楼、武汉歌剧院荣获建国七十周年、建国六十周年建筑创作大奖；广东科学中心、延安火车站、湖北省博物馆、深圳国贸中心荣获建国六十周年建筑创作大奖。其中，广东科学中心还获得了全国优秀工程勘察设计金奖和国际咨询工程师联合会（FIDIC）百年重大建筑项目杰出奖；厦门北站项目获得国际桥梁及结构工程界公认的最高奖项——国际桥梁与结构工程协会（IABSE）杰出结构奖（Finalist）。

More than 19000 engineering designs have been completed in 30 provinces, cities, autonomous regions and nearly 40 countries and regions around the world, of which more than 800 projects have won national, ministerial and provincial excellent design awards and scientific and technological progress awards. The Yellow Crane Tower and Wuhan opera house designed by the company won the Architectural Creation Award for the 70th and 60th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China; Guangdong Science Center, Yan'an railway station, Hubei Provincial Museum and Shenzhen International Trade Center won the Architectural Creation Award for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. Among them, Guangdong Science Center has also won the Gold Award for national excellent engineering survey and design and the Excellence Award for Centennial major construction projects of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC); Xiamen north railway station project has won the Finalist Award of International Association for bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), the highest award recognized by the international bridge and structural engineering community.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, Zhongnan Architectural Design Institute kept in mind the mission of state-owned enterprises, moved by orders and went retrograde, and completed 38 anti epidemic emergency construction projects such as Leishen Mountain hospital in one month, providing hard core support for epidemic prevention and control in Hubei and Wuhan.
