After entering the urban area of Chengdu, the Fuhe River flows around the north and east of the city, while the Nanhe River flows around the west and south of the city. The two rivers converge at the Hejiang Pavilion and are called the Funan River, forming a unique pattern of \"two rivers embracing the city\". According to research, the brocade industry in Chengdu was developed during the Han Dynasty, and people often washed brocade in this water. Since then, it has been called \"Zhuojiang\" or \"Jinjiang\" by the people. In 1986, a Young Pioneer from Longjiang Road Primary School wrote a letter to the municipal government, \"Return me the clear water of Jinjiang\"; People from all walks of life have also issued calls to the government through various channels to \"govern this stinky river.\".
