固城湖金沙滩驿站位于南京固城湖水漫城景区金沙滩湖边，作为景区的重要节点之一，在提供游客基础便利的同时，也承载着展陈、休憩、公共卫生间等功能。

The Golden Beach Pavilion in Gucheng Lake is located beside Jinshatan Lake in Gucheng Lake Water – Rippling City Scenic Area in Nanjing. As one of the important nodes in the scenic area, it not only provides basic conveniences for tourists but also undertakes functions such as exhibition, rest, and public toilets.

项目用地范围仅为9*27m的矩形且不能突破，周边是湖面、沙滩、森林和草地的自然景观，我们需要在纯净的自然环境中置入一个必然会引人注目的9*27*4m高的矩形体量，因此项目最大的难点，在于找到一个平衡点，让这样一个体量的置入给纯净自然环境以良性的反馈而非破坏性的夺目。

The scope of the project site is only a 9 * 27m rectangle and cannot be exceeded. The surrounding natural landscapes are lakes, beaches, forests, and grasslands. We need to place a 9 * 27 * 4m – high rectangular volume that will inevitably be noticeable in the pure natural environment. Therefore, the biggest difficulty of the project lies in finding a balance point, so that the placement of such a volume gives positive feedback to the pure natural environment rather than being destructively eye – catching.

基于此，我们用木材构筑了一个简洁的几何发散结构，来模拟类似阳伞和水草的自然形象。将三组几何木构组件放入3个9*9m的正方形中，并形成4个互相拼接的三角形平面，三角平面之上，弧形木构之下，是亲切柔和的“树下空间”。

Based on this, we constructed a simple geometric divergent structure with wood to simulate the natural images similar to sun umbrellas and waterweeds. Three sets of geometric wooden components are placed in three 9 * 9m squares, forming four mutually spliced triangular planes. Above the triangular planes and below the arc – shaped wooden structures is the friendly and soft “space under the trees”.

我们使用大面积的镜面不锈钢材料，以便消解墙体，去芜存菁，在保证休憩空间和公共卫生间使用功能的前提下，让三组几何木构件更纯粹通透，消隐建筑体量感。夕阳下，光线和反射的周边环境得以在木构件的间隙穿梭，就像阳光穿透森林。建筑内外无限延伸的视野和错位重叠的风景，形成魔幻的视觉体验。入口处设置的大面积镜面不锈钢，通过不同时间的太阳高度角，可以在特定的时间点捕捉光线穿透建筑，映射弧形木结构和广阔的天空。

We use a large – area mirror – finished stainless – steel material so as to dissolve the walls and retain the essence. Under the premise of ensuring the functions of the rest space and public toilets, we make the three sets of geometric wooden components more pure and transparent and conceal the sense of building volume. Under the setting sun, light and the reflected surrounding environment can shuttle through the gaps of the wooden components, just like sunlight penetrating the forest. The infinitely extended views inside and outside the building and the misaligned and overlapping scenery form a magical visual experience. The large – area mirror – finished stainless – steel set at the entrance can, through the solar altitude angles at different times, capture light penetrating the building at specific time points, mapping the arc – shaped wooden structure and the vast sky.

本项目以几何介入自然，在限定空间下，尝试用最简约的几何图形，来融入纯净环境，营造自然空间。通过与自然亲和的材料、形象和光影，让建筑空间不动声色的植入当下环境中，成为人与自然互动的天然窗口。

This project intervenes in nature with geometry. Under the limited space, it attempts to use the simplest geometric figures to blend into the pure environment and create a natural space. Through materials, images and light and shadow that are friendly to nature, the architectural space is unobtrusively implanted into the current environment and becomes a natural window for the interaction between man and nature.
