尘嚣之下，上海/室内设计
在改造这个办公空间时，我们意识到最大的挑战在于如何找到合适的方式介入这个一片空白的现状。场地藏在上海闹市区的一栋普通住宅小区里，建于九零年代初，适逢城市大规模建设方兴未艾，与老上海巷弄式的住宅类型早已断了联系。在功能上，并没有预设的使用者，改造后的空间将以联合办公的形式向外出租。在现状和历史上都没有延续性的场地，功能的不确定性使我们很难从两者中找到切入点。在这里，任何预设的思考和先验的经验都不再适用。
When transforming this office space, we realize that the biggest challenge is how to find a suitable way to intervene in this blank situation. The site is hidden in an ordinary residential community in downtown Shanghai. It was built in the early 1990s. It coincides with the large-scale construction of the city, which has long been disconnected from the residential type of old Shanghai Lane. After the transformation, the users will rent out the office space in the form of preset joint function. There is no continuity in the current situation and history, and the uncertainty of function makes it difficult for us to find an entry point from the two. Here, any preset thinking and a priori experience are no longer applicable.

古人造园，不在乎场地，可于市井也可于山林。院墙围合之内便是一方净土；造园亦不在乎功能，不论《园冶》中所详述的种种条例或技法，造园首先是一项精神活动，是为自己的身体和灵魂创造一个可以栖居的差异的世界。于是，我们决定在这个五十平方米的空间内造一个抽象的园，这里有光、有云、有院、有景。我们希望“邀请人们去参与一个假定世界的意识和经验”。
The ancients did not care about the site when they built gardens, which could be in the market or in the mountains and forests. Within the enclosure of the courtyard wall is a pure land; Gardening also doesn't care about function. Regardless of the various regulations or techniques detailed in Yuanye, gardening is first of all a spiritual activity, which is to create a different world for your body and soul. So we decided to build an abstract garden in this 50 square meter space, with light, clouds, courtyard and scenery. We want to "invite people to participate in the consciousness and experience of a hypothetical world".
场地是由两个房间前后错动组成，共同面向朝南的庭院。我们首先试图模糊两个房间的分隔，将其作为一个连续的整体。为此我们在空间中置入两个元素：一个圆和几段连续的弧。圆，中心性最明确的几何图形，是在平面维度整合空间最有力的手段。它将两个房间在视线上连续为一体，并在行为上给出一个明确的汇聚点。圆与方之间产生的间隙自然作留白的处理，借鉴文人园和文人画的技法，在物与物、物与边界之间留一点空，作为意犹未尽的延伸。几段连续的弧是对空间在剖面方式的设计，两个房间之间有一道结构梁必须保留，连续的弧线在最低点越过结构梁，强烈的方向性和连续的视觉效果将两个房间联系为一体，又创造出天幕或是流云的效果。
The site is composed of two rooms staggered back and forth, facing the courtyard facing south. We first try to blur the separation of the two rooms as a continuous whole. To this end, we put two elements in space: a circle and several continuous arcs. Circle, the geometric figure with the clearest centrality, is the most powerful means to integrate space in the plane dimension. It connects the two rooms in line of sight and gives a clear convergence point in behavior. The gap between the circle and the square is naturally left blank. Learn from the techniques of literati garden and literati painting, and leave a little space between things, things and boundaries as an extension of meaning. Several continuous arcs are the design of the space in the section mode. There is a structural beam between the two rooms that must be retained. The continuous arc crosses the structural beam at the lowest point. The strong directivity and continuous visual effect connect the two rooms into one, and create the effect of sky curtain or flowing cloud.
圆形的两个弧段扩展作为办公桌，提供九个办公位。在圆心的位置设计一张讨论桌，我们想象每个办公人员都可以迅速的汇聚到讨论桌前。在圆与方的空隙内之间布置绿色植物，就像在室内的四处天井或是四个小院。顶棚和原先的楼板之间作为设备空间，隐藏电线桥架和灯光设备。顶棚选择植物纹理的半透明TYVEK布，均匀的灯光营造发光顶棚的效果，为办公空间提供照度柔和的顶光。

设计希望运用抽象和几何化的元素，借鉴留白的绘画技法，表达中国文人园中对一个差异世界的建构，与中国文化和传统取得非形式上，而是意境上的神似。尘嚣之下，一个差异的世界，这是我们发出的邀请和祝福。
The design hopes to use abstract and geometric elements and draw lessons from the blank painting techniques to express the construction of a different world in the Chinese literati garden, which is similar to Chinese culture and tradition not in form, but in artistic conception. Under the hustle and bustle, there is a different world. This is our invitation and blessing.
