With the high-start construction and development of Qianhai, the concept of landscape urbanism has been gradually implemented. Through systematic water system reconstruction, the constraints of traditional waterfront design have been broken, creating a public space emphasizing both social interaction and ecology, and constructing the urban spatial pattern with waterfront public space as the framework in the “One Bay and Five Corridors”. As one of the “Five Corridors”, Qianhai Central River is an important part of the entire plan, and the newly completed estuary section is an important part of this grand concept.
