The project is located in Qiwu village, Putian, Fujian Province. The local traditional residential materials are mainly red bricks and tiles. The roof shape is mostly double slope, hanging from the top of the mountain and swallow tail ridge, which is the landmark feature of local residential buildings.

建筑基地周边为当地的传统民居，当代建筑如何融入传统的村落肌理，以及如何处理好和周边传统民居的关系是该项目的关键问题。

The construction base is surrounded by local traditional houses. How to integrate contemporary buildings into the traditional village texture and how to deal with the relationship with the surrounding traditional houses are the key issues of the project.

设计秉承兼容并蓄的设计理念，在现代简洁的建筑中点缀传统的红砖红瓦元素，和周边民居形成了一定的呼应；建筑功能为兄弟两家人的私宅，一层为共用的客厅以及各自的餐厅厨房，二层三层东西各半为兄弟二家人的房间以及家庭室，四层为公共的茶室和空中庭院，传承了传统民居的院落式空间布局以及生活方式。

Adhering to the design concept of inclusiveness, the design embellishes the traditional elements of red bricks and tiles in modern and concise buildings, forming a certain echo with the surrounding folk houses; The building function is the private house of the two brothers. The first floor is the shared living room and their respective restaurant kitchen, the second floor and the third floor are the rooms and family rooms of the two brothers and their families, and the fourth floor is the public tea room and air courtyard, which inherits the courtyard space layout and lifestyle of traditional folk houses.
