Chongli Ice and Snow Town International Convention and Exhibition Center for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics

 

崇礼最大的价值在于生态和环境,规划设计坚持生态优先,最大限度的集约利用资源,保持山地环境和自然风貌。建筑布局依照上位规划,形成会展中心、会议中心、五星级酒店三个组团。为保持基地的自然环境与山地风貌,建筑组群延续了两山夹一谷的自然地貌,建筑外围沿街道展开,内侧形成贯穿建筑群落的生态景观带,呈显出外围合、内释放的空间意象。

 

The greatest value of Chongli lies in its ecology and environment. The planning and design adhere to ecological priority, maximize the intensive use of resources, and maintain the mountainous environment and natural scenery. The architectural layout follows the upper level planning, forming three clusters: exhibition center, conference center, and five-star hotel. In order to maintain the natural environment and mountainous style of the base, the architectural complex continues the natural terrain of two mountains and one valley. The outer perimeter of the buildings extends along the street, while the inner side forms an ecological landscape belt that runs through the building community, presenting a spatial image of being enclosed and released from the outside.

 

 

场地南北高差约10米,坡度2%,规划设计充分尊重地形及空间使用的便捷性,将基地平整为两块台地,台阶结合生态景观带设计,巧妙的与水系、绿化融为一体,营造出建筑与自然交织、步移景异的空间环境,有机的延续了小镇的自然脉络,保留了山地特色。

 

The height difference between the north and south of the site is about 10 meters, with a slope of 2%. The planning and design fully respect the convenience of terrain and space use, leveling the site into two terraces. The steps are combined with the ecological landscape belt design, ingeniously integrating with the water system and greenery, creating a spatial environment where architecture and nature intertwine, and the scenery changes step by step. It organically continues the natural veins of the town and preserves the mountainous characteristics.

 

 

在规划尺度方面,对于空间最大的会展建筑,采用“面”式构图,将建筑整合为3个体量,尽量消解巨大尺度对小镇环境的压迫;会议部分主要采取线性构图,形成具有中国北方院落特点的围合式空间;酒店部分,采用院落与散点的布局模式,形成错落、活泼的空间秩序。点、线、面相结合的布局形式,使大型公建和谐的融入山地环境、融入小镇肌理。

 

In terms of planning scale, for the exhibition building with the largest space, a "surface" composition is adopted to integrate the building into three volumes, trying to alleviate the pressure of huge scale on the small town environment as much as possible; The conference section mainly adopts linear composition to form a enclosed space with the characteristics of courtyards in northern China; The hotel adopts a layout pattern of courtyards and scattered spaces, forming a staggered and lively spatial order. The layout form combining points, lines, and surfaces harmoniously integrates large public buildings into the mountainous environment and the texture of the town.

 

 

基地中有最自然纯净的山水,山水是环境的脉络,亦是建筑形态创作的源头。建筑设计意在表达崇礼太子城冰雪小镇得天独厚的自然环境与地域背景,以山为灵魂、以水为动线,意构山影重檐、水韵流动的形态意象。

 

There are the most natural and pure mountains and waters in the base, which are the veins of the environment and the source of architectural form creation. The architectural design aims to express the unique natural environment and regional background of Chongli Taizicheng Ice and Snow Town, with mountains as the soul and water as the flow line, creating a form image of mountain shadows, double eaves, and flowing water.

 

 

建筑屋面由连续起伏的三角形折板构成,屋面的转折形成了丰富的天际线,呼应了连绵起伏的群山,不同角点标高的三角形折板相互衔接,构成了富有韵律的形态,以师法自然的方式回应了山地环境。

 

The building roof is composed of continuously undulating triangular folded plates, and the turning points of the roof form a rich skyline, echoing the undulating mountains. The triangular folded plates at different corner elevations are connected to each other, forming a rhythmic form that responds to the mountainous environment in a natural way.

 

 

 

 

 

建筑立面的“V”字形钢柱有机排布,犹如自然生长的树干分支,与冰雪小镇丰富的植被资源完美融合。钢柱形成钢框架支撑建筑屋面,使建筑立面与屋面形成整体,以现代结构技术诠释了中国传统建筑“架木为屋”的文化精髓。玻璃幕墙与钢框架形成鲜明对比,体现了时代感。建筑立面材料选择了崇礼储量高达11亿立方米的玄武岩,通过对地域材料的加工和打磨,表达当地特点,体现建筑的自然性与原生性。

 

The "V" - shaped steel columns on the building facade are organically arranged, like natural branches of tree trunks, perfectly integrating with the rich vegetation resources of the ice and snow town. The steel columns form a steel frame to support the building roof, integrating the building facade with the roof, interpreting the cultural essence of traditional Chinese architecture's "wooden roof" with modern structural technology. The glass curtain wall and steel frame form a sharp contrast, reflecting a sense of the times. The building facade material selected is basalt with a storage capacity of up to 1.1 billion cubic meters in Chongli. Through the processing and polishing of regional materials, the local characteristics are expressed, reflecting the naturalness and originality of the building.

 

 

 

建筑体量守拙浑厚、建筑形态刚劲有力、建筑屋面出檐平远、建筑立面一脉相承,建筑形象稳重而不失自然,整体而不失变化,以现代手法演绎了中国北方传统建筑的意蕴。连绵起伏、厚重大气的建筑形态,营造了现代建筑与自然山水相依相生、与历史文化交相辉映的美好景象。

 

The architectural volume is simple and robust, the architectural form is strong and powerful, the roof of the building is flat and distant, and the facade of the building is consistent. The architectural image is stable yet natural, and the whole remains unchanged, interpreting the meaning of traditional architecture in northern China with modern techniques. The undulating and heavy architectural form creates a beautiful scene where modern architecture and natural landscapes are interdependent and complement each other, as well as historical and cultural heritage.
