2021年6月9日，上海市档案馆新馆投入运行，面向公众开放。新馆位于浦东新区白杨路636号（临），总用地面积 5.75 公顷（约 86 亩），建筑总用地面积 4.06 公顷（约60亩）。总建筑面积131652平方米，其中一期建设106045平方米。新馆东为白杨路、北至龙通路（在建中）、南至前程路（在建中）、西至连汇路。

The new pavilion is located at No. 636 Baiyang Road, Pudong New Area (pro), with a total land area of 5.75 hectares (about 86 mu), and a total construction land area of 4.06 hectares (about 60 mu). The total construction area is 131652 square meters, including 106045 square meters in the first phase. To the east of the new pavilion is Baiyang Road, to the north is Longtong Road (under construction), to the south is Qiancheng Road (under construction), and to the west is Lianhui road.

 

 

上海市档案馆储存保管着460余万卷（件）珍贵档案。这座以“史册智库”为设计理念的新馆建筑，按功能分区建设17层库房大楼（北楼）、4层业务技术用房（东楼）和5层公共服务区域（南楼），构成“C”型环绕式布局。建筑主体地上建筑面积74369平方米，地下30061平方米，辅助功能用房5层，建筑面积1651平方米。建筑密度29%，绿地率35.1%。

 

Shanghai Municipal Archives store more than 4.6 million volumes (pieces) of precious archives. This new museum building, with the design concept of "Historical Think Tank", is built with a 17 storey warehouse building (North Building), a 4-storey business and Technology Building (East Building) and a 5-storey public service area (South Building) according to the functional zoning, forming a "C" type surrounding layout. The main building covers an area of 74369 square meters above ground, 30061 square meters underground, 5 floors of auxiliary function rooms, and a construction area of 1651 square meters. The building density is 29%, and the green space rate is 35.1%.

 

 

公共服务区域（南楼）公共服务区域位于南楼，由活动大厅、珍档展示厅、专题展览厅、档案查阅服务中心、报告厅、学生课堂等部分组成，为市民提供查阅档案、观看展览、读档学史、聆听讲座、文化社交等档案文化体验。

档案查阅服务中心档案查阅服务中心位于公共服务区域（南楼）二层，总面积约1000平方米，分设公共查阅大厅、多媒体档案阅览室、专题阅览室、政府公开信息阅览室、服务中心、咨询接待室等不同功能区域，面向公众免费提供数字、纸质和胶片载体的馆藏档案资料和政府主动公开信息的查阅服务。

公共查阅大厅分为数字化档案查阅区、图书阅览区和公共休息区，可同时容纳近百人查阅。

数字化档案查阅区配备有查阅终端，查档者可通过终端登录馆藏档案检索系统，进入上海市档案馆数字档案资源库，查询并浏览近百万卷馆藏开放档案目录和部分数字化全文；图书阅览区将提供6000余册档案编研史料出版物、参考书、工具书等供查档利用者浏览。

珍档展示厅“城市记忆 时光珍藏——上海市档案馆藏珍档陈列”，布展面积约1000平方米，从市档案馆馆藏档案和近年来征集档案史料中，精选出近千件珍贵文献、影像资料和实物，以档案陈列、实景还原、多媒体声像等多种手段全景式呈现上海这座城市的发展变迁。

展览分为开埠通商、建党伟业、抗日救亡、解放新生、革故鼎新、改革开放、新时代新征程等七个板块。

一页页旧文稿、一张张老照片、一段段影像再现了1843年以来上海城市变迁的大事件，彰显了上海作为党的诞生地、初心始发地红色文化的鲜明底色，为市民群众提供了党史学习教育和“四史”宣传教育的生动课堂。
