Kerry Hill, an Australian architect known as the "godfather of high-end hotel design", is well aware of the "unity of heaven and man" of Oriental Aesthetics and rooted the architectural styles of "Minimalism" and "Zen" in the core values of Hanbi building.

 

 

 

由于涵碧楼坐拥台湾美潭极景与百年历史的建筑，他遂以不与自然争地、保留中国传统元素的设计理念，採用木、石、钢、玻璃四种建材为主要元素，让日月潭的环境独特性，来产生对于建筑的影响力。

 

Because Hanbi building sits on the extreme scenery of Taiwan's Meitan and a century old building, he adopted the design concept of not competing with nature and retaining Chinese traditional elements, and adopted four building materials of wood, stone, steel and glass as the main elements, so as to make the environmental uniqueness of the Sun Moon Lake have an influence on the building.
