Outside Mingsha mountain, beside crescent moon spring, modern notes will play ancient melodies here. In this Gobi paved with blue sky and yellow sand, steel structure men wrote the construction legend of Dunhuang Grand Theater with their hard-working hands.

敦煌大剧院位于敦煌国家级文化产业示范园区内，北临314省道，是首届丝绸之路（敦煌）国际文化博览会的主要场馆之一。

Located in the Dunhuang national cultural industry demonstration park and adjacent to provincial highway 314 in the north, Dunhuang Grand Theater is one of the main venues of the first Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo.

场馆于2016年8月全面竣工，新落成的敦煌大剧院将依托国内外剧目资源，打造成为丝绸之路沿线的最大的文化艺术中心和国际文化交流中心、当地市民的公益文化活动中心、丝绸之路沿线国家和城市演出市场开发的产业平台以及丝绸之路文化和敦煌文化的品牌推广中心。

The venue was fully completed in August 2016. The newly completed Dunhuang Grand Theater will rely on domestic and foreign repertoire resources to build itself into the largest cultural and Art Center and international cultural exchange center along the Silk Road, a public welfare cultural activity center for local citizens, an industrial platform for the development of performance markets in countries and cities along the Silk Road, and a brand promotion center for the Silk Road culture and Dunhuang culture.

在莫高窟持续上千年的建造历史中，历代能工巧匠的辛苦和虔诚在这里凝结。正是他们耗尽毕生心血，用智慧和双手及一生不辍的“孤守”，为后世留下辉煌印记。驼铃声声，穿越千年。今日敦煌，作为丝绸之路（敦煌）国际文化博览会重要载体的场馆建筑群，在这里拔地而起，见证着丝路文化深度交流与融合的空前盛景。

In the construction history of Mogao Grottoes, which lasted for thousands of years, the hard work and piety of skilled craftsmen of all dynasties were condensed here. It was they who spent their whole lives, with their wisdom and hands and their continuous "solitary defense" that left a brilliant mark for future generations. The sound of camel bells has crossed thousands of years. Today, Dunhuang, as an important carrier of the Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, is rising here, witnessing the unprecedented scene of in-depth exchange and integration of the Silk Road culture.

在2016－2017年度中国建设工程鲁班奖（国家优质工程）颁奖典礼上，文博会重点场馆之一的敦煌大剧院荣获中国建筑行业最高质量奖“鲁班奖”。这既是对工程质量的高度肯定和褒奖，更是向每位项目参与者的致敬！他们用新时代的坚守和信念，传承着“工匠精神”，诠释着“担当精神”。荣誉与光环背后，是一个个可歌可泣、不为人知的“敦煌故事”。

At the 2016-2017 Luban Award Ceremony for China's construction projects (national high-quality projects), Dunhuang Grand Theater, one of the key venues of the ICIF, won the "Luban Award" for the highest quality in China's construction industry. This is not only a high affirmation and praise for the project quality, but also a tribute to each project participant! With the persistence and faith of the new era, they inherit the "craftsman spirit" and interpret the "responsibility spirit". Behind the glory and aura, there are many moving and unknown "Dunhuang stories".
