援非盟非洲疾病预防控制中心总部（一期）项目位于埃塞俄比亚首都亚的斯亚贝巴市西南方向的“非洲村”，距非盟总部约10公里，距机场10公里，距离市中心约30分钟车程。建设用地位于亚的斯亚贝巴市西环路和南环路之间，整个用地约为长方形，总用地面积约为9公顷，一期项目建设用地约5.35公顷。项目建筑面积为23570平米，建设内容包括办公楼和实验楼（生物安全等级P3实验室）等。作为中非公共卫生领域合作的旗舰项目，受到国家领导人关注。

The headquarters (Phase I) project of the African Disease Prevention and Control Center for Aid to the African Union is located in the "African Village" southwest of the capital city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is about 10 kilometers away from the headquarters of the African Union, 10 kilometers away from the airport, and about 30 minutes' drive from the city center. The construction land is located between the West Ring Road and the South Ring Road in Addis Ababa City. The entire land is approximately rectangular, with a total land area of approximately 9 hectares. The construction land for the Phase I project is approximately 5.35 hectares. The construction area of the project is 23570 square meters, including an office building and an experimental building (biosafety level P3 laboratory). As a flagship project in the field of public health cooperation between China and Africa, it has received attention from national leaders.

In the southern suburbs of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, modern high-rise buildings are being built on the once barren slopes. The headquarters project of China's aid to the African Union African Center for Disease Control and Prevention has emerged here, becoming a new highlight of China Africa cooperation and making new contributions to ensuring the health and well-being of African people.

工欲善其事，必先利其器。援建非洲疾控中心总部，是中方在2018年中非合作论坛北京峰会上宣布的对非合作旗舰项目，是继非盟会议中心后中非合作的又一标志性项目。

Sharp tools make good work. The construction of the headquarters of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention is the flagship project of China's cooperation with Africa announced at the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation in 2018, and is another landmark project of China Africa cooperation after the AU Conference Center.

中方急非洲之所急，克服新冠疫情、地区冲突等重重困难，于2020年12月提前实现项目破土动工，于2021年11月完成大楼主体结构封顶，于2023年1月完成项目一期建设。项目于2023年2月投入使用。

The Chinese side is anxious for Africa. It has overcome many difficulties such as the COVID-19 and regional conflicts. It will start the project ahead of schedule in December 2020, complete the capping of the main structure of the building in November 2021, and complete the construction of the first phase of the project in January 2023. The project was put into use in February 2023.

非洲疾控中心总部一期项目总建筑面积近2.36万平方米，包括2栋办公楼主楼、2栋实验楼，分别设置办公行政区、应急响应中心、信息中心、生物实验室及专家公寓等。项目建成后，将成为非洲大陆第一所拥有现代化办公和实验条件、设施完善的疾控中心，进一步提升非洲疾病预防、监测和疫情应急反应速度，增强非洲公共卫生防控能力。

The first phase of the headquarters project of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention has a total construction area of nearly 23600 square meters, including two main office buildings and two experimental buildings, each with office administrative areas, emergency response centers, information centers, biological laboratories, and expert apartments. After the completion of the project, it will become the first disease control center on the African continent with modern office and experimental conditions, and complete facilities, further improving the speed of disease prevention, monitoring, and emergency response to the epidemic in Africa, and enhancing Africa's public health prevention and control capabilities.
