Hunan Provincial Museum is the largest comprehensive history and Art Museum in Hunan Province. It is also a national excellent patriotism education demonstration base and one of the 4A tourist attractions in Hunan Province.

基于现代风格的定位，因此不延续附近公园里比较生态自然风格的树，方案设计成成行成组的树阵，通过平衡引力和特质，创造比较开阔的视野空间来清晰地突显临街的博物馆，同时与建筑主入口中心轴线平衡。对比博物馆设计方案，结合该博物馆基地现状，使用现代、沉默、开放的草坪和隆起的缓坡，在不同的标高面上使用树阵和一些灌木，使树木看起来更加有秩序，种植区可让建筑轮廓更加清晰显眼，更具现代风格，使博物馆战略位置更加突出。

Based on the positioning of modern style, it does not continue the trees with more ecological and natural style in the nearby park. The scheme is designed into a tree array in rows and groups, which clearly highlights the museum facing the street by balancing gravity and characteristics, creating a relatively wide field of vision, and balancing with the central axis of the main entrance of the building. Compared with the design scheme of the museum, combined with the current situation of the museum base, modern, silent, open lawns and raised gentle slopes are used, and tree arrays and some shrubs are used on different elevation planes to make the trees look more orderly. The planting area can make the architectural outline more clear and eye-catching, have a more modern style, and make the strategic position of the museum more prominent.

湖南省博物馆荟萃了湖湘大地的文物遗珍，展现了湘楚文明的来龙去脉，本案意在采用现代风格的景观设计来突显湖南省博的战略位置，使其成为宣传湖湘文化的最佳窗口。

The cold and warm gray pavement pattern of the welcome square comes from the fire and water in the five elements of China, and combines the architectural concept through change and combination.

The rest area and tree pool are also one of the five elements in China. The "wood" element is implanted into the area by using a group of bamboo and wooden seats.

Hunan Provincial Museum gathers the cultural relics and treasures of Hunan and Hunan, and shows the context of Hunan and Chu civilization. This case is intended to use modern landscape design to highlight the strategic position of Hunan Provincial Expo, making it the best window to publicize Hunan culture.

湖南省博物馆（Hunan Museum），位于湖南省长沙市开福区东风路50号，是中国首批国家一级博物馆、中央地方共建的八个国家级重点博物馆之一、湖南省最大的综合性历史艺术类博物馆。湖南省博物馆始建于清光绪二十三年（1897年），今馆址为其新馆，启用于2017年11月29日，总占地面积4.9万平方米，总建筑面积为9.1万平方米。

Hunan Museum, located at No. 50, Dongfeng Road, Kaifu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, is one of the first national first-class museums in China, one of the eight national key Museums jointly built by the central and local governments, and the largest comprehensive museum of history and art in Hunan Province. The Hunan Provincial Museum was founded in the 23rd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1897). Its current site is its new museum, which was opened on November 29, 2017. It covers a total area of 49000 square meters and a total construction area of 91000 square meters.

据2020年4月博物馆官网显示，湖南省博物馆有展厅面积为2.7万平方米，有馆藏文物18万余件，尤以长沙马王堆汉墓出土文物、商周青铜器、楚文物、历代陶瓷、书画和近现代文物等最具特色；湖南省博物馆共设长沙马王堆汉墓陈列和湖南人——三湘历史文化陈列两个基本展览，定期举行特别展览和交流展览。

According to the official website of the museum in April 2020, the Hunan Museum has an exhibition hall area of 27000 square meters and a collection of more than 180000 cultural relics, especially the cultural relics unearthed from the Han tomb at Mawangdui in Changsha, Shang and Zhou bronzes, Chu cultural relics, ancient ceramics, calligraphy and painting, and modern cultural relics; Hunan Provincial Museum has two basic exhibitions, namely, the Han tomb exhibition at Mawangdui in Changsha and the historical and cultural exhibition of Hunan people - Sanxiang. Special exhibitions and exchange exhibitions are held regularly.

2008年5月18日，湖南省博物馆被国家文物局列为首批“国家一级博物馆”；2018年10月11日，湖南省博物馆入选教育部首批“全国中小学生研学实践教育基地”。

On May 18, 2008, Hunan Provincial Museum was listed as one of the first "national first-class museums" by the State Administration of cultural relics; On October 11, 2018, Hunan Museum was selected into the first batch of "national primary and secondary school students' research and practical education base" by the Ministry of education.
