序幕 | Prelude

1919年,著名德国现代主义建筑大师格罗庇乌斯在德国威玛成立了一所工艺美术学校Bauhaus(由Hausbau/房屋建筑调转而来)。这只100年前在欧洲大陆“挥动翅膀的蝴蝶”,接下来在全球各地掀起来一场场轰轰烈烈的现代主义运动。

建厂于1929年的大中华正泰橡胶厂正是在包豪斯风格影响下的上海最早一批以现代主义风格为基调的工业厂房。2019年,恰逢包豪斯百年,位于上海闵行区剑川路地铁站附近,一个占地6.9万方、总建筑面积8.63万方的园区也迎来了他的新生。

 

In 1919, Walter Gropius, the famous German master of modernist architecture, founded Bauhaus ( transferred from Hausbau ), a school of arts and craftsin Weimar, Germany. The butterfly, waving its wings on Continental Europe 100 years ago, set off a vigorous modernist movement around the world.

 

Shanghai Ta Chung Hua Rubber Factory, founded in 1929, was one of the earliest in Shanghai to construct modernist industrial factory buildings under the influence of the Bauhaus style. In 2019, which coincided with the centenary of Bauhaus, an industrial park covering an area of 69,000 square meters and with an overall floorage of 86,300 square meters, ushered in its new life near the Jianchuan Road subway station in Minhang District, Shanghai.

设计之初,很有意思的是业主颇有针对性的选择包豪斯这一外在特征作为改造设计的形式语言,除了对这一影响世界设计重要事件致敬之外,我们认为在上海老工业基地的新科创板块中找到了一种将科技与艺术结合的形式,来表达改造后整个区域的产业气质和人文传统。一方面,老工业厂房至今仍展现出源于百年前的功能主义传统和工业构件的美学体系;另一方面,我们希望这个工业建筑改造可以超越“工业风”审美套路,传达一种内在的科技创新精神。包豪斯更像是一个国际化的符号,演绎艺术和技艺的交辉。

 

Interestingly, at the beginning of the design, the proprietor purposefully chose Bauhaus, an external feature, as the formal language of the renovation design. In addition to paying tribute to this important event that affects the world design, we believe that we have found a form of integrating science and technology with art in the new science and technology innovation sector of the Shanghai old industrial base, to express the industrial temperament and cultural tradition of the whole region after the renovation. On the one hand, the old industrial factory buildings still show the functionalist tradition derived from a hundred years ago and the aesthetic system of industrial components. On the other hand, we hope this industrial building renovation can transcend the “industrial style” aesthetic routine and convey an internal spirit of scientific and technological innovation. Bauhaus is more like an international symbol, embodying the brilliance of art and crafts.

空间联动周边产业发展,激发园区内不同主题的活力场地

Space Boosts Surrounding Industry Development,Stimulates Dynamic Venues of Different Themes in the Park

 

橡胶厂是老闵行工业基地的一部分,城市建设发展到今天,周边形成了以交通大学为核心的南上海滨江产业发展聚集区;园区东侧为交大科技园和零号湾产业园,丰富的工业历史文脉和滨水景观资源,为园区丰富的多元场景设计和周边的客户定位提供基础和保障。西侧的沪闵路和横泾港河南北方向形成了基地两个最长最重要的界面,作为连接老闵行和上海主城的干道,沪闵路以及轨道交通形成繁忙的人员交流渠道;而横泾港在阻隔东西方向周边联系的同时,也提供了产业功能和自然环境结合的机遇。

 

The rubber factory is a part of the old Minhang industrial base. With the development of urban construction today, the south Shanghai Binjiang industrial development cluster area has been formed in the periphery with Jiaotong University as the core. On the east side of the industrial park are the Jiaotong University Science Park and Zero Bay Industrial Park, whose rich industrial historical context and waterfront landscape resources provide the foundation and guarantee for the rich, diversified scene design and surrounding customer positioning of the park. On the west side, Humin Road and Hengjinggang River, in the north-south direction, form the two longest and most important interfaces of the base. As a trunk road connecting the old Minhang and the downtown area of Shanghai, Humin Road and the rail traffic constitute a busy personnel communication channel. While blocking connection in the east-west directions, Hengjing Port provides an opportunity to combine industrial functions and natural environment.

链接区域产业发展空间、服务配套产城融合的思想成为了园区整体规划理念。南北向的交通界面和景观界面是将内部交通、服务人流、功能分区紧密联系的发展线索,也形成了项目最瞩目的外在特征。

 

The idea of linking the regional industrial development space and serving the integration of supporting facilities of the industry and the city has become the overall planning concept of the park. The north-south traffic interface and the landscape interface are the development clues closely connecting the internal traffic, service people flow and functional zoning, which forms the most remarkable external features of the project.

两个城市界面之间利用厂房横向间距延伸出的街巷空间把社区缝合在了一起。净宽7m的双面步行街区、占地3000平的包豪斯体育广场、4000平的水岸运动休闲广场和园区门户的城市会客广场。3种不同类型的广场,分散在园区的北、西和东侧,通过5条不同主题的巷弄街区联系起来。

 

The community is stitched together with the street space extending from the lateral spacing of the workshops between the two urban interfaces, including the double-sided pedestrian street with a net width of 7m, the Bauhaus Sports Square covering 3,000 square meters, the 4,000 square meters waterfront sports and leisure square, and the city reception square at the gateway of the park. Three different types of squares, scattered on the north, west and east sides of the park, are connected by five different themed lane blocks.

From Surface to Space, from Environment to the Interior,A New Image of the Park Integrating Industry and Art

 

沪闵路的城市沿街界面作为园区对外展示的第一形象面,采用了强烈的构成手法来形成主要视觉形象,将沪闵路广场上的景观和路径倒映在厂房的立面之上,通过立面错落的平台与园区内部空间连通,在使用体验上增加了层次感和丰富性。园区沿街部分是大胆奔放的红,园区内部是冷静理智的白,一红一白,一深一浅,互相映照,互相衬托。

 

The interface along the Humin Road, as the first image of the park for external display, adopts the strong composition technique to form the main visual image, reflecting the landscape and path of Humin Road Square on the facade of the factory. It is connected with the internal space of the park through the strewn platform of the facade, adding to the sense of hierarchy and richness in the use experience. The part of the park along the street is decorated with the bold and unrestrained red, while the inside of the park adopts the calm and rational white. The red and white, in deep and light colors, shine upon and set off each other.

包豪斯风格是整合园区各种大大小小建筑的设计语言,从体量划分、标识立牌、门窗定制、连廊系统、楼梯扶手、室内公区装饰、入口雨棚等入手,细致梳理了若干种型式,对应不同的楼栋立面空间体系,采用不同的类型来组合,向百年包豪斯的现代建筑风格致敬。

 

The Bauhaus style is the design language integrating various large and small buildings in the park. Stating from volume division, logo, door and window customization, corridor system, stair handrail, indoor public area decoration, and entrance canopy, it carefully reviews a variety of types. Corresponding to different building facade space system, it uses different types for combination, paying tribute to the modern architectural style of the centennial Bauhaus.

为存量工业遗产量身定做 | 可持续发展的科创产业空间

Tailored to Stock Industrial Heritage | Technology Innovation Industry Space for Sustainable Development

 

主入口的两栋楼102、103是园区最大的挑战,78MX110M的开间进深,2.6万方的巨大体量给了我们设计无限可能。我们在102的楼栋里面“开膛破肚”,延续外立面以体验为主的设计原则,创造了不同标高和体量的错层盒子,也规划了大小不同,面积可分可合的办公产品——包括小独栋,标准办公、跃层办公和商业盒子,体量之间的错落也无意识的形成了高低进深不同的露台。

 

The No.102 and No.103 buildings at the main entrance are the biggest challenges in the park. The 78m X 110m housing depth, and the huge volume of 26,000 square meters, give us infinite possibilities in the design. We “open the belly” in the No.102 building, continue the experience-based design principle of the facade, create staggered floor boxes of different elevations and volumes, and plan detachable office products of various sizes, including small single buildings, standard offices, spring-layer offices and commercial boxes. The diverse volumes unintentionally form terraces of different heights and depths.

午后的阳光倾洒进这个55mX45m的庭院当中,与建筑的梁柱系统“唱和”,形成了非常戏剧性的场景体验。

 

The afternoon sunshine pours into the 55m x 45m courtyard and “echoes” with the building’s beam and pillar system, forming a very dramatic scene experience.

Create Specific Site Spirit and Space Experience | Foster Most Innovative Open Space in the Region

 

除去沪闵路沿街界面以外,其他部分均采用黑白灰+红黄蓝为基调的立面设计,18幢大厂房各有特色,有的通过组合形成一体的展示界面(#302、#305、#205、#206);有的独立在场地区域形成自己的场地语言(#105路演空间);有的则是与水杉等乔木组合,若隐若现(#402a、#503、#201、#502和生活配套区);包豪斯是设计的基调,但具体的细节还是要结合建筑自身的特点和功能来打造。

 

Except for the interface along the Humin Road, all other parts adopt the facade design of the black, white, gray + red, yellow and blue colors as the tone. The 18 large factory buildings have their own characteristics. Some form an integrated display interface through combination #302, #305, #205, #206.Some independently form their own site language in the site areas #105 roadshow space. Some are integrated with dawn redwood and other arbors, partly hidden and partly visible #402a, #503, #201, #502 and life supporting area.Bauhaus is the tone of the design, whose specific details are created along with the characteristics and functions of the buildings.

#302、#305、#205、#206片区采用的是包豪斯红和白对建筑进行处理,三幢建筑之间功能上互相独立,形体上高中低,矮胖瘦,恰好形成一个巧妙的组合。

 

The #302, #305, #205, and #206 quarters process the buildings with the Bauhaus red and white. The three buildings are functionally independent from each other, of diversified height and width, forming an ideal combination.

#302组合对面的#105路演广场是整体规划中承担各类厂区活动的综合性节点之一,设计保留了原有广场的尺度,而面对广场的#105东立面则采用全玻璃折叠推拉门形式,配合5m出挑的镜面不锈钢雨棚,在有演出或活动举办时,室内外空间可以做到互相连通。

 

The #105 Roadshow Square opposite to the #302 combination is one of the comprehensive nodes undertaking various plant activities in the overall planning. The design retains the original scale of the square. The eastern facade of the #105 facing the square applies the full-glass folding sliding door. With the 5m stretched mirror-faced stainless-steel canopy, the indoor and outdoor space can be connected to each other when there are performances or activities.

#402a和#502a的设计则结合现状保留的乔罐木进行设计,斑驳的树影投射在波纹铝型材和旋转的耐候钢板片墙上,产生出戏剧化的效果。#502a作为首先启动的首开展示区,室内设计也是采用了红黄蓝包豪斯主题色进行搭配,室外新增广告的旋转片墙,既是商业街入口的标志也是展区的宣传窗口。

 

The #402a and #502a are designed with the preserved trees. The mottled tree shadows, projected on corrugated aluminum profiles and rotating weatherproof sheet walls, produce a dramatic effect. The #502a, as the first initiated display area, also adopts the red- yellow -blue Bauhaus theme colors in the interior design. The new rotating sheet wall for outdoor advertising is not only the sign of the commercial street entrance but also a publicity window of the exhibition area.

结合景观的场景设计和多层次多标高的立面互动体验,我们在设计中模拟了许多不同状态下的活动,体育广场下的运动休闲、大厂房空间内部的办公休憩、商业步行街区的小尺度闲逛、花架树影下的嬉戏打闹、#102建筑外立面和内部露台连廊的交谈驻留等。

 

Considering the scene design of the landscape and multi-level, multi-elevation facade interactive experience, we simulate the activities in many different states in our design, such as sports and leisure in the sports square, working and resting inside the large workshop space, small-scale stroll in the commercial pedestrian area, playing under the shadow of flower stands and trees, and chatting and lingering under the #102 building facade and in its terraces and corridors.

后记 | Postscript

往事,并不遥远,他是工业文明的浪潮中风风火火的主人公。当功成身退,还有几人记得它曾经的担当与风光?它们是时代更新进程中的废弃物,却并不能一键进入回收站,只能窘迫地立足于现实生活,与周围居民区零阻隔,它荒废的模样,朝着每一户认真生活的人家。这些被抛弃在岁月中的沉默者,也正开始觉醒,迈向新的繁荣。

 

The past is not far away. It is an energetic protagonist in the wave of industrial civilization. When the mission is accomplished, are there any people still remember its brave assumption of responsibility in the limelight? It has been cast off in the process of time renewal, but it cannot be dumped into the recycle cabin with one click. It has to awkwardly stay grounded in real life, separated in zero barrier from the surrounding residential areas. It faces every seriously living family in an abandoned appearance. These silent ones abandoned in the years are beginning to wake up and move towards new prosperity.
