The two can be further interpreted as a common identity: teacher. "Economist" gave him the opportunity to become a teacher of this country and help this country thrive with his profound attainments in economics; The "teacher" is for the general public. Teaching and educating people are fragrant.

2. 秋水蒹葭不忘师恩
博物馆位于一栋历史文化保护建筑里，是董老师出生所在的外婆家，属民国砖木结构，占地面积285㎡，建筑面积435㎡，共两进两层。主要展示董老师的经济学学术成果，并结合经济学的发展，把董老师个人影响力与宁波的影响力相结合，定期在此举办经济学论坛和沙龙。

2. The autumn water and the reeds do not forget the teacher's kindness
The museum is located in a historical and cultural protection building. It is the grandmother's home where Mr. Dong was born. It is a brick wood structure of the Republic of China, covering an area of 285 ㎡ and a building area of 435 ㎡, with two floors. It mainly displays Mr. Dong's academic achievements in economics, combines Mr. Dong's personal influence with Ningbo's influence in combination with the development of economics, and regularly holds economic forums and salons here.

考虑董先生的“老师”身份、中国传统民居特性以及空间中的情感表达，设计师以 “ 隐性的光 ” 引起探索，通过照明的主动介入和思考，让这里成为一位“老师”的“家”，以光的代入感激发到访者情感共鸣、唤醒记忆。人们在柔和光线的指引下，不仅是参观展览，更像是做客于老师家中的学生，于事迹和生平的回忆交流之中，交换彼此对于董老师的怀念与敬意。

Considering Mr. Dong's identity as a "teacher", the characteristics of traditional Chinese dwellings and the emotional expression in the space, the designer caused exploration with "hidden light". Through the active intervention and thinking of lighting, it became a "home" of "teachers", and stimulated the emotional resonance of visitors and awakened memory with the sense of substitution of light. Under the guidance of soft light, people not only visit the exhibition, but also like students visiting the teacher's home, exchanging each other's memory and respect for Mr. Dong in the exchange of deeds and life memories.

叙述性

受文物保护的限制，只能用很少的语言去追求纪念性空间的叙述性：通过一块屏风营造一个“鲜活灵魂”的画面：白色托起小院，董老师安静的“看着”书；沙龙墙上“点滴之恩”的主题装置，表达师恩情；64位博士生将怀念老师的物件装进发光的玻璃盒子里像“星星之火”；拱券是西方建筑的经典，拱形展架设置在这栋中式建筑里，暗示了董老师兼有的西方教育背景。

As a listed building, the Dong Fufeng museum is subject to regulations which protect its historical significance. Consequently, only a small number of designs can be proposed to pursue the narrative in this commemorative space. A white screen creates a “live soul” scene adjacent to a sculpture in front of a white background. Mr. Dong is seen in the courtyard, quietly immersed in a book. The white installation on the wall expresses the gratitude of Mr. Dong’s students with the proverb “A drop of water shall be returned with a burst of spring”. The display of objects in luminous glass boxes expresses how the 64 PhD students miss their respected tutor. An arched bookshelf set within this historical Chinese building is representative of classical Western architecture and reflects Mr. Dong’s Western-educated background.

3. 隐性的光与情感
博物馆主入口朝北且紧邻新马路，外立面保持着最初的样子，经历岁月洗礼转化为满墙的黑白和斑驳。外立面的照明设计由于市政规划原因未能实现，如果有机会，希望可以给予立面微弱的面光光线，让斑驳更加立体，借助细微的光影变化引发关于历史的记忆。

3. Hidden light and emotion
The main entrance of the museum faces north and is close to the new road. The facade maintains its original appearance and has been transformed into black-and-white and mottled walls through the baptism of years. The lighting design of the facade has not been realized due to municipal planning. If there is an opportunity, we hope to give the facade weak surface light, make the mottle more three-dimensional, and trigger the memory of history with the help of subtle light and shadow changes.

入口处借助巧妙框景，董老师铜雕像被清晰呈现。灯光设计之初并不完全确定雕塑样式，设计师特别在二层阳台栏杆外侧增加2支具有调焦和单灯调光功能的投光灯。

With the help of ingenious frame view at the entrance, the bronze statue of teacher Dong is clearly presented. At the beginning of the lighting design, the sculpture style was not completely determined. The designer especially added two projection lamps with focusing and single lamp dimming functions outside the railing of the balcony on the second floor.

由此，从入口看去，一幅董老师在月下借着微弱光线看书的场景生动呈现。配合框景墙上波浪形的发光文字，时空穿越之感更加强烈。偶尔，微风拂过，雕像一旁的竹叶沙沙作响，光线映照下的竹影洒在白色墙面之上，让小院内更增添了一份灵动和生气。

Thus, from the entrance, a picture of Mr. Dong reading in the weak light under the moon is vividly presented. With the wavy luminous characters on the frame wall, the sense of time and space travel is stronger. Occasionally, the breeze blows, the bamboo leaves rustle beside the statue, and the bamboo shadow under the light sprinkles on the white wall, adding a sense of flexibility and vitality to the courtyard.

另一端的展架采用了西方建筑经典结构形式的拱券语言，顶部的连续线型照明让其结构轮廓得以清晰呈现，凹入拱券部分通过照明将结构变化规律呈现。如此，这个拱券虽然体量不大，却将西方建筑语汇展现得淋漓尽致，展架设置在中国传统建筑里，也体现了董老师融汇中西的学术精神。

The exhibition frame at the other end adopts the arch language of the classical structural form of Western architecture. The continuous linear lighting at the top makes its structural outline clearly presented, and the concave arch part presents the structural change law through lighting. In this way, although the volume of this arch is small, it shows the vocabulary of Western architecture incisively and vividly. The exhibition frame is set in Chinese traditional architecture, which also reflects Mr. Dong's academic spirit of integrating China and the West.

博物馆序厅的墙面视频播放着董老师的一生，偌大的厅内只放了一把空椅子，似乎小院内看书的董老师就是刚从这里起身踱步而去。屏幕两侧设置的两盏灯，既避免了视频观看的干扰，也塑造出仪式感，细致的光线和浓重的影子构成一幅生动的画面，引发观者无尽思索。

The video on the wall of the preface hall of the museum shows Mr. Dong's life. There is only an empty chair in the large hall. It seems that Mr. Dong, who is reading in the small courtyard, has just got up and paced away from here. The two lights set on both sides of the screen not only avoid the interference of video viewing, but also create a sense of ceremony. The detailed light and thick shadow form a vivid picture, which causes the viewer to think endlessly.

空间正中央沙发区背景的“点滴之恩”装置，设计师仅用一支灯照亮造型中央，让光随着涟漪造型蔓延开来，制造了空间里极具记忆特征的视觉焦点，也借此暗喻董老师扩散开来的思想和影响力。

The "bit by bit kindness" device in the background of the sofa area in the middle of the space. The designer only uses a lamp to illuminate the center of the shape, allowing the light to spread with the ripple shape, creating a visual focus with great memory characteristics in the space, which also metaphors the spread thought and influence of Mr. Dong.

与此呼应的是半空中悬挂着的写满思念之情的学生手迹，这些“思念”三个空间内自由穿越，被光线随机照亮，呈现出十分丰富的层次。当人在其下一边游走一边观看时，会充分体会到被这些情感不断击中的震撼。

Echoing this is the student's handwriting full of thoughts hanging in the air. These "thoughts" freely pass through the three spaces and are randomly illuminated by light, showing a very rich level. When people walk and watch under it, they will fully realize the shock of being constantly hit by these emotions.

文保+可持续性

房间里是看不到空调管的，因为整个首层由轻型结构在没有钉破坏原地面的情况下架高起来，既藏管线还防潮，架空地面将来可以轻易地带走，减少建筑的破坏；空调机罩被设计成家具的样子；所有管线都使用金属抱箍而不用钉。本案的造价仅200万元，属于非常低的投入；历史建筑的再利用，在发挥新时代作用的同时减少新建建筑对环境的破坏，其本身就有双重的可持续发展的意义。

Air-conditioning pipes are not visible in any of the rooms, as the entire ground floor is raised on a light nail-free structure which ensures that the original ground floor will not be damaged. As the MEP pipelines are hidden, moisture proofing can be achieved. The new floor could be easily dismantled in the future and any potential damage to the historical timber structure could be avoided.All electrical pipelines are fixed in place with metal hoops instead of nails; the air conditioning hoods are designed to look like his old furniture; The cost of this whole work is only ?200,000.00, which is very low for a building of this type; the reusing and repurposing of the building for its role in this new era make it sustainable.

“星星之火”被设置为教育贡献主题展厅的主题，深得董老师真传的64位博士生将自己与老师的情感装进火炬造型般的玻璃盒子内，意喻薪火相传。

"Spark" was set as the theme of the theme exhibition hall of educational contribution. The 64 doctoral students who won the true biography of Mr. Dong put their feelings with their teachers into a glass box shaped like a torch, which means passing on fuel and fire from generation to generation.

底部隐藏的线型灯让盒子通体发光，天花上的4度光束角射灯，精准照亮每份内容。照亮后的盒子通透、纯粹，与董老师一丝不苟的治学精神遥相呼应。

The linear light hidden at the bottom makes the box shine all over, and the 4-degree beam angle light on the ceiling accurately illuminates each content. The illuminated box is transparent and pure, echoing Mr. Dong's meticulous academic spirit.
