北京亚运村街道社区办事处焕新改造，北京/建筑

亚运村，一个因中国体育走向世界而家喻户晓的社区，三十多年过去了，这里见证了北京亚运会，北京奥运会，如今又见证了北京冬奥会！但岁月的沧桑也让昔日辉煌的亚运村街道披上了时间的痕迹，特别是位于安定路安苑路交口东南角的一座曾经的“奔驰展厅”已经闲置许久，衰退和灰色似乎可以传染，旧展厅连同周边的街区都开始显得沉寂……

The Asian Games Village community, well-known for the first international sport games held in China, has witnessed the Beijing Asian Games, the Beijing Olympic Games and now the Beijing Winter Olympics! However, it covers 32 years. As times goes on, the community has gotten old with a glorious past. A Mercedes Benz exhibition hall, located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Anding Road and Anyuan road, has been idle for a long time. Recession and dusty seem to be contagious. The old exhibition hall and the surroundings eventually become stale or out of date.

如何以微更新、点激活的方式来唤醒整个街区？如何让街角承载更多的活力？经过反复规划与多轮的艰苦谈判，最终决定将这里改造成亚运村街道社区办事处，塑造服务于民的冬奥之家，塑造北京最美网红社区办事处，以桥头堡的位置昭示着亚运村街道勇于蜕变的坚定信心！

How to wake up the whole community by micro updates or a catalyst is the key point. And then next is how to make the street corner bring more energy. After a long time careful planning and rounds of tough negotiations, an Asian Games Village neighborhood community office was finally decided to transform this place into, construct a Winter Olympic home for the people, and build a beautiful community office for Beijing. Its position serves as a start point to show the courage to change!

让老展厅变废为宝，以低造价、轻介入、易施工的方式实现街角的华丽转身，不再是传统的、门脸房式的、窗口大厅的街道办事处，而是让老百姓能走进来、看得见、乐参与的新时代社区生活中心！

同时，亚运村的2022年，这个不平凡的时间将永远定格在这里，让人们铭记三十年来这个街区人民对于中国体育走向世界的坚定支撑！也是在这一年，街区开启了以点带面的社区更新之路！

The old exhibition hall should be changed into a brand new building, which is a gorgeous turn of the street corner, by the means of low cost, light intervention and easy construction. It would no longer be the traditional street office of gatehouse style and window hall, but the center of community life in the new era, where the people can come in, see inside and participate happily!

At the same time, 2022, the year of Beijing Winter Olympics, will always be fixed here, so that people will remember their brave support for the international sports for our country in the past three decades! It was also the time when the neighborhood began the community renewal by the start point!

旧有的建筑用的铝板幕墙，大多已经开裂，窗下墙很多地方已经漏风。房屋东侧和南侧与相邻建筑紧贴，很多地方还是借用邻居的外墙封堵，漏水和构造问题凸显。但是改造的成本非常有限，必须充分利用原有结构，减少改动，尽量使用原有的卫生间和楼梯，同时避免使用幕墙，尽量采用相对便宜的门窗系统，尽量采用便宜而又易于维护的内装部品。

Most of the aluminum curtain walls used in old buildings have been cracked, and the air has leaked in many places through the walls under the windows. The East and south sides of the house are so close to the adjacent buildings that many rooms are sealed even by the neighbor’s outer wall, where the rain water can seep and many other structure problems. However, the cost of transformation is very limited. We must make full use of the original structure, reduce changes, try to use the original toilet and stairs, avoid the use of curtain walls, try to use relatively cheap door and window systems, and try to use inexpensive and easy to maintain interior parts.

原来的建筑一层维护结构紧贴柱子，二层向外挑出2米左右，形成了廊下灰空间，这个灰空间也为当年建筑对城市的最大贡献，提供了遮风避雨的公共功能，也正是这一点让步，让展厅可以为更多的人看到。如今，这个建筑将作为更加开放的城市客厅，在现有的基础上，退让更多更有趣味的空间给城市，让人们感受到更多社区的关怀与包容，这也是本次改造平面上最大的改变。

The original curtain wall on the first floor of the building is close to the column, and on the second floor is about 2 meters out to form the grey space under the corridor. This space also provides the public function of sheltering the wind and rain, which is the greatest contribution of the building to the city in past years, and a concession that makes the exhibition hall visible to more people. Now, the building will play the role as a more open urban living room. Moreover, it will offer more and more interesting spaces for the city, and then the people can feel more care and inclusion of the community, which is also the biggest change in the plane of this project.

由于资金有限，不能再采用昂贵的幕墙，而便宜的铝合金门窗系统框料过于憨笨，这个街角的位置又十分重要需要惊艳的美，而原有结构又不能支撑太重的外墙或幕墙，这些问题让外立面的设计步履维艰。既然不能用幕墙，索性将视线转向的砖，因为砖和北京的乡土文化渊源深厚。

Instead of expensive curtain walls system, aluminum alloy door and window system should be used due to the limit funds, which are not slim or exquisite. However, the location of this street corner is quite important, which needs an amazing brilliant view! And, the original structure cannot support such heavy exterior walls or curtain walls, which makes the decision of exterior facade martial very difficult. Since the curtain wall cannot be used, attention is paid to the brick, which has a deep origin with the local culture of Beijing.

砖，是北京的乡土记忆。在这座伟大城市中轴带上不乏很多瑰丽的砖砌建筑，故宫的墙，南锣鼓巷的院，勤劳的中国人民用小巧的砖块儿造就了中国建筑史上一个又一个的经典与奇迹。

但是，砖筑是浑厚的、沉重的，原有的结构显然难以支撑砖墙的依靠！我们需要一种轻盈的，最好是透明的，而且不太贵易于施工的砖。于是我们想到了用有机玻璃来自己造砖。既然自己造砖，材料中便可以植入我们想要的“色卡”，可以给这个沉闷的街口一点“颜色”！而我们选择了白色，因为冰雪，因为冬奥，像冰雪一样晶莹剔透的砖！

Brick，which is the native memory of Beijing, composed many magnificent buildings on the central axis of this great city, such as the Forbidden City and the courtyard of NanLuoGu lane. The diligent Chinese people have achieved great marvels in the history by small bricks.

However, the bricks is weighty, which are too heavy to be support by the original structure! More light, preferably transparent, inexpensive and easy to construct martials are needed. So we thought of using plexiglass to make bricks by ourselves. Since we make bricks by ourselves, the “color card” can be put inside, which can give more “color” to the old street! Finally kinds of white are chosen for the color of ice and snow, and also for the Winter Olympics!

在业主和施工方的大力支持下，我们用透明亚克力，不透明亚克力，透明阳光板，不透明阳光板，4种材料组合制造了5种砖块，并且制作了小样。安装方式也借鉴了砌块墙穿筋的方式，每块砖上开了两个小洞，用以错缝穿筋。

数千块冰砖和雪砖，从天空中飘落，落在用不锈钢制作的2022雕塑上，形成了飘雪的2022！而2022四个数字也支撑起了这个建筑的门洞，人们通过2022，走进2022，开启新时代的美好生活！

With the support of the sponsor and the construction team, we have made 5 kinds of bricks with 4 kinds of materials: transparent acrylic, opaque acrylic, transparent sunshine board and opaque sunshine board, and made small samples. The installation method also follows the way of threading reinforcement of brick walls. Two small holes are opened on each brick to thread reinforcement at staggered joints.

Thousands of ice and snow bricks fall from the sky and finally lay on the 2022 sculpture made of stainless steel, forming an ice and snow 2022! The four numbers of 2022 also support the door of this building. People enter 2022 through 2022 and open a better life in a new era!

走进2022，你便进入了这个建筑，一层是开放的大厅，透明的圆曲玻璃将室内外融合在一起。进入大门，右手边是社区接待台与导览。正对着的是旋转的木门，闭合时形成走廊，开启时成为社区展板与宣传栏。左手边是开敞的大厅，2022的0对应着街角，也形成了0舞台，社区居民可以在此议事、宣讲、也可以表演节目，当然，这些节目外面的路人都可以看到，亦可加入进来。在最里面是图书角，小朋友们可以在此看书学习。

Through the 2022, you enter the building. On the first floor is an open hall, and the transparent round glass integrates the indoor and outdoor. Entering the gate, on the right is the community reception desk and guide. Facing the revolving wooden door, it forms a corridor when closed and becomes a community exhibition board and billboard when opened. On the left is an open hall. 0 in 2022 corresponds to the street corner and forms a 0 stage. Community residents can discuss, preach and perform programs here. Of course, passers-by outside these programs can see and join in. At the bottom is the book corner, where children can read and study.

利用原有改的楼梯步入二层，在此进入一个雪白的世界，这里营造了一间会议室和一间公共活动的多功能厅，从多功能厅看出去，是0的上方，如同东南向升起的太阳，让社区每天都彰显着希望！

Through the original modified stairs, you can enter the second floor, a snow-white world here. A conference room and a multi-functional hall for public activities are built here. From the multi-functional hall, it is above the 0, which looks like the rising sun in the southeast, which makes the community gain wishes every day!

半年的时间，这座小房子在大家的积极努力下建成了，每天晚上散发着绚丽的光芒，很多人惊叹老旧奔驰展厅的前世与今生，建设过程中，很多路过的人停下脚步仰视拍照，也有很多人猜测这是个什么建筑，有人说可能是个美术馆，有人猜是艺术展厅，有人说应该是高科技的旗舰店……总之，一定是老百姓可以自由进出，享受其中的建筑！

In half a year, the small house was built with quite a lot active effort. Every night, it emits a gorgeous light. Many people marvel at the past and present life of the old Mercedes Benz exhibition hall. During the construction process, many passers-by stopped to look up and take photos. Many people also speculated about what the building is. Some said it might be an art museum, others guessed it was an art exhibition hall, some people say it should be a high-tech flagship store… In short, people must be free to go in and out and enjoy the buildings!

如今，每天都有人在2022前面留影，房子虽小，却为这个街角增添了灿烂的色彩，特别在寒冬的夜晚，远远的那座水晶盒子里面，可以感受到一丝温暖，我们祈祷2022，疫情终将过去，幸福与复兴终将到来！

Nowadays, people take pictures in front of 2022 y. Although the house is small, it adds brilliant colors to the street corner. Especially in cold winter nights, you can feel a trace of warmth in the crystal box far away. We pray that 2022 will be the end of the epidemic and happiness and rejuvenation will come!
