“独白：时间行者的独白”始于一个虚构的设定：地球曾经历过一次重置。在那次重置之前，存在着一个古老文明，其中包含一座修道院。项目正是从“这样一座修道院会呈现出何种建筑形态”这一问题出发而展开。这一带有推演性质的叙事并非仅作为概念背景，而是构成了建筑形态、空间组织与氛围营造的根本框架。

Monologue _ The Monologue of a Timewalker begins with a fictional premise: the Earth has once been reset. Before this reset, an ancient civilization existed, and within it, a monastery. The project originates from the question of what architectural form such a monastery might have taken. This speculative narrative is not merely a conceptual backdrop, but a foundational framework that informs the building’s form, spatial composition, and atmosphere.

建筑体量源自对电视剧《权力的游戏》中“北境长城”的意象提取。作为文明边界与时间断裂的象征，这一“墙体”在此被转译为承载层叠记忆与历史积淀的建筑表达。

The architectural massing is derived from the image of the Northern Wall depicted in the television series Game of Thrones. As a symbol of the boundary between civilizations and the rupture of time, the wall is reinterpreted here as an architectural embodiment of layered memory and accumulated history.

整体空间气质借鉴修道院所具有的克制与沉思特性。项目摒弃装饰性与商业化表达，转而通过材料、体量以及光的流动，营造出一种宁静、内省的空间体验。

The overall tone of the space draws from the restrained and contemplative qualities of a monastery. Rather than relying on decorative or commercial gestures, the project emphasizes materiality, mass, and the movement of light to create a calm, introspective spatial experience.

“独白”不仅是一间咖啡馆，更被构想为一个融合文化与艺术的复合空间。在这里，建筑、室内、品牌、雕塑与绘画被整合进同一叙事体系之中。所有元素均由艺术家兼建筑师郑基泰统筹设计，从而在整体上建立起统一而连贯的表达语境。

Beyond its function as a café, Monologue is conceived as a cultural and artistic space where architecture, interior design, brand identity, sculptural works, and painting are organically integrated into a single narrative environment. All elements are unified through the work of artist and architect Gi-Tae Chung, establishing a consistent tone and manner throughout the space.

建筑在不同方向上呈现出各异的形象。随着自然光在一天中的变化，其形态不断发生转化，赋予空间以流动与生命感。这种策略使建筑避免被固化为单一图像，而成为一种持续生成、不断变化的存在。

The building is also designed to present a different architectural expression from every direction. As natural light shifts throughout the day, the form continuously transforms, imparting a sense of fluidity and vitality to the architecture. This approach allows the building to resist a fixed image and instead exist as a living, evolving presence.

“独白”并非一个以消费为导向的场所，而是一个让建筑、艺术、叙事与时间相互交织的空间。它邀请人们停留、观看与思考，将建筑作为一种文化性与沉思性的实践加以呈现。

Monologue is not a place defined by consumption, but a space where architecture, art, narrative, and time intersect. It invites visitors to linger, observe, and reflect—offering a spatial experience that transcends the conventions of a café and proposes architecture as a cultural and contemplative act.
