As + GG architectural firm won the bidding of Yuzui Financial District in the southwest of Nanjing river in 2018. This development project with a total area of about 860000 square meters includes a landmark high-rise like a fixed sea god needle, adding a touch of brilliance to the spectacular Nanjing skyline. This 500 meter high building will become one of the tallest buildings in Nanjing. Its magnificent 360 ° open-air viewing platform at the top will become one of the highest viewing platforms in the world. After completion in 2025, it will also become one of the highest buildings with LEED gold certification. The transportation network of the project connects the riverside, public transportation system and new cultural, natural and scientific and technological facilities, which greatly improves the value of the project location and enhances the interaction between the project and people. It can attract people to experience the working and living environment here, or come here as a tourist to enjoy the well-designed Park and Art Center. In the overall planning of the project complex, in addition to the main tower, there are 80 m, 155 m, 220 m and 350 m office towers and an 86 m residential tower.

The shape design of the 500 meter tower located in the center of the new CBD is inspired by the Yangtze River. The river water reflects light and forms a variety of textures of light and water waves. The modeling of the building not only takes into account the influence of reducing wind vortex force, but also optimizes the field of vision and enhances the building structure and its functionality. The new building has comprehensive office space, unique viewing and experience facilities and an amazing observation platform.

Green space is one of the most distinctive elements of the project. These spaces make people feel within reach of the landscape, perfectly present the convenience and happiness of use, and improve air quality and local microclimate environment. The project collects rainwater through the sky garden to achieve the goal of 100% rainfall management. Rainwater is collected with the concept of sponge City, such as soil bottom collection, permeable pavement and concave green space. The collected rainwater will be stored in the water tank in the basement and reused after treatment. In this way, it is estimated that the total indoor water consumption can be reduced by 55% in the future.

The combination of precisely designed unique blades, high-performance Low-E thermal insulation curtain wall system and building geometry can effectively reduce the absorption of sunshine heat, provide effective protection to avoid excessive indoor heat, and effectively control glare while ensuring natural daylighting. "The sustainable design of the exterior wall of the building is shaped through a series of various studies and models."
