Since 2017, its 100-sqm rooftop has been entrusted to a designer who has been given carte blanche to undertake a complete makeover in cooperation with brands operating in the outdoor design sector.

The project’s name – Modulor – is a direct reference to Le Corbusier and a reminder of the rational and individualistic starting point of each designer. From this schematic grid arises Lavit’s desire to search for freedom within a set of rules. It starts from scratch, just like in the 1960s and 70s’, and looks for the divergent course.

In this installation Lavit looks to strictly define the spatial coordinates but in reality he knows that natural elements linked to the outdoors – the sun, clouds and shadows – would have broken the canons to continually revitalize the space and make it more complex as the day unfolds. The roof covering contrasts the vegetal with the mineral, filtering the view of the surrounding city and changing the perspectives in a playful way while maintaining a scale with a human dimension. Lavit’s modulor is in fact 100x33, almost like a real version of a viewfinder of a CinemaScope camera.

Eu/Canistro 座椅的白色大靠垫选择了一种轻盈柔软的表面，类似于一张绘图纸，在其上绘制了光影的相互作用。然后是家具结构的优雅金属条，既轻巧又与 Lavit 如此珍视的有机元素相得益彰。

A light and soft surface, similar to a sheet of drawing paper, was selected for the large white cushions of the Eu/Canistro seatings, onto which draws an interplay of light and shadow. Then there are the elegant metal strips of the furniture’s structure, both lightweight and in harmony with the organic element that is so dear to Lavit.
