涵虚园面积只有大约两千平方米，位于立交桥和湖面之间的局促位置，是典型的粗放式景观规划留下的边角余地（leftover）。周边的建筑物尺度巨大，对场地形成压力；同为滨水地块，相对于云朵乐园而言，这里并不在环湖步道体系里，所以相对独立、自成一体。我们将其定位于静谧花园，利用廊架景墙和倒影池等营造适合独处或休憩的小环境。

Hanxu Yard is located at a narrow spot between the overpass and the lake with an area of only about 2,000 square meters. It is a leftover space left by a typical extensive landscape planning, which is under the pressure of huge size of the surrounding buildings on the site. As a waterfront plot, compared with the Cloud Park, it's not in the trail system around the lake, so it is relatively independent and self-contained. We positioned it a tranquil grove, using corridors, feature wall and a reflecting pool to create a small environment for solitude or relaxation.
