“夏夜交响”竹林艺术装置，嘉兴 / 其他

“夏夜交响”是为荻原美术馆银杏馆的国际当代艺术家群展而创作的空间装置。创作灵感来源于展览主题“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day。我可否将你比作一个夏日”(出自威 廉·莎士比亚最为脍炙人口的第 18首十四行诗)。莎士比亚的十四行诗为这个夏天的展定下了基调。种子、花、树、果实、土壤等自然物作为本次参展的艺术家和设计师的艺术创作元素。

The bamboo art installation entitled“Symphony at Summer Night”is a temporary installation specially created for the international contemporary artists group exhibition held by Di Yuan Art Gallery · Gingko.The inspiration comes from the theme of the exhibition, “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day” (from William Shakespeare’s most famous sonnet 18). Shakespeare’s sonnets set the tone for this summer’s show. Seeds, flowers, trees, fruits, soil and other natural objects act as the artistic creation elements of the artists and designers participating in this exhibition.

美术馆被自然包围，我们希望参观者看完展会有对自然有不一样的感悟。有些昆虫，短的，只有一天的生命。长的，也不过一个夏天。在人类看来是这么的短暂，而之 于天地，人类的生命也不过一瞬。感知万物有灵，才能感知生命的伟大。看见一点萤火，感受暗夜也可以被这微光点亮。倾听一声虫鸣，感受再渺小的生物也能唱响生命的歌。大自然才是住着生灵的神庙，希望这一片人造的夏夜竹林，可以像置于庙前的一潭清泉，洗去凡尘。让人怀着敬畏和友善的心，去到大自然。

The museum is surrounded by nature, and we hope that visitors will have a new understanding of nature and life after the exhibition. Some insects have only one day of life. Although some insects live longer, they only exist for one summer. In the view of human beings, the life of insects is so short, while human life is just a moment in the world. Only by perceiving that all things are spiritual can we perceive the greatness of life. Even the faint light of fireflies can brighten the night. Listen for insects, and feel that even the smallest creatures can sing the song of life. Nature is like a temple. I hope that this artificial bamboo forest can be like a clear spring placed in front of the temple so that people can wash away the mundane dust and go to nature with awe and kindness.

展厅是八米见方，六米高的小空间，我们在其间置入了一个黑色盒子，微微架起，36根竹子在漆黑的盒子里随机排列。参观者撩开夜幕，进入夏夜。竹子上被随机地打上圆孔，每根竹子里的led灯带都被调成不同的渐变频率，微弱的暖光透过小孔，似夏夜的萤火，忽明忽暗。竹子中的虫鸣是由arduino控制红外传感器触发的声音装置。当人靠近时，装于竹竿中的声音装置便触动发声。当你贴近竹子，细听虫鸣声响起， 是大自然在你耳畔私语。这个装置并不是去模拟竹林的夏夜，只是一个意象的组合，对自然的歌颂，是我们对重塑人与自然关系的美好期待。

The exhibition hall is a small space of 8 meters square and 6 meters high. A slightly raised black box was placed in the middle and 34 bamboos were randomly arranged. Visitors lift the curtain and enter the bamboo forest. The bamboo is randomly punched with round holes, and the LED strips in each bamboo are adjusted to different gradient frequencies. The weak warm light passes through the small holes, like fireflies on a summer night, flickering on and off.The chirping of insects in bamboo is an infrared-triggered sound device controlled by Arduino. When people approach the bamboo, the sound device installed inside will start to work. When you get closer to the bamboo and listen carefully to the sound of insects, it feels like nature is whispering in your ear.This installation is not to simulate a bamboo forest, but a combination of images, a celebration of nature, and our beautiful expectation for reshaping the relationship between humans and nature.
