中国重汽科技中心项目总占地面积约400亩，规划总建筑面积43.8万平方米，分两期建设，于2011年7月19日正式开工。二期工程主要包括综合楼2座和汽车试验车间7座。科技大厦是园区的核心建筑，于2015年8月16日正式启用。大厦地上部分36层，建筑总高173.75米。大厦总建筑面积10.8万平方米，地上6万平方米、地下4.8万平方米，硬件设施按照5A级写字楼标准进行设计。大厦整体造型呈泉水上涌的态势，展现出泉与水、动与静的完美结合，体现了不断向上、生生不息的寓意，象征着中国重汽事业蓬勃发展。

The China National Heavy Duty Truck Technology Center project covers a total area of approximately 400 acres, with a planned total construction area of 438000 square meters. It will be constructed in two phases and officially began construction on July 19, 2011. The second phase of the project mainly includes 2 comprehensive buildings and 7 automotive testing workshops. The Science and Technology Building is the core building of the park, officially opened on August 16, 2015. The building has 36 floors above ground and a total height of 173.75 meters. The total construction area of the building is 108000 square meters, with 60000 square meters above ground and 48000 square meters underground. The hardware facilities are designed according to the 5A level office building standard. The overall design of the building presents a trend of spring water surging upwards, showcasing the perfect combination of spring and water, as well as movement and stillness, reflecting the continuous upward and eternal meaning, symbolizing the vigorous development of China's heavy truck industry.

科技大厦是中国重汽科技中心项目的一部分。“科技中心”项目，即国家重型汽车工程技术研究中心项目，位于济南市高新区舜华南路以东、龙奥北路以南，一期工程包括科技大厦1座、汽车展库1座、试验车间8座以及园区公用站房，总建筑面积为19.5万平方米。

The Technology Building is a part of the China National Heavy Duty Truck Technology Center project. The "Science and Technology Center" project, also known as the National Heavy Vehicle Engineering Technology Research Center project, is located east of Shunhua South Road and south of Long'ao North Road in the High tech Zone of Jinan City. The first phase of the project includes one Science and Technology Building, one Automobile Exhibition Warehouse, eight experimental workshops, and a public station building in the park, with a total construction area of 195000 square meters.

二期工程包括综合楼2座和汽车试验车间7座。科技大厦为园区核心建筑，落址济南市高新区华奥路777号，大厦总建筑面积10.8万平方米，其中地上约6万平方米、地下约4.8万平方米；大厦地上部分36层，建筑总高度173.75米，是济南市目前投入使用的第二高建筑，东部第一高楼。

The second phase of the project includes 2 comprehensive buildings and 7 automotive testing workshops. The Science and Technology Building is the core building of the park, located at No. 777 Huaao Road, High tech Zone, Jinan City. The total construction area of the building is 108000 square meters, including approximately 60000 square meters above ground and approximately 48000 square meters underground; The above ground part of the building has 36 floors, with a total height of 173.75 meters. It is currently the second tallest building in use in Jinan and the tallest building in the east.

2009年2月6日，科技部正式批复同意以中国重汽集团为依托单位组建国家重型汽车工程技术研究中心，该中心的组建填补了济南市工业企业在国家级工程技术研究中心方面的空白，实现了历史性突破，对济南市深化国有企业改革、优化调整产业结构、建设创新型城市具有重要的现实作用。

On February 6, 2009, the Ministry of Science and Technology officially approved the establishment of the National Heavy Duty Truck Engineering Technology Research Center with China National Heavy Duty Truck Group as the supporting unit. The establishment of the center filled the gap in the national engineering technology research center for industrial enterprises in Jinan, achieving a historic breakthrough and playing an important practical role in deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises, optimizing and adjusting industrial structure, and building an innovative city.

重型汽车是我国汽车支柱产业的重要组成部分，在国民经济和国防现代化建设中发挥着重要的作用，在我国汽车自主品牌和自主创新方面优势明显，但其可持续发展面临着巨大的国际竞争和挑战。作为国内重型汽车行业的技术领跑者和领军企业之一，重汽集团积极深入贯彻落实科学发展观，始终坚持自主创新和科学发展，科研水平不断提高，产业规模不断扩大，综合实力不断增强，奠定了在国内同行业的领先优势和地位。为进一步加快我国重型汽车工业的发展，促进我国重型汽车整体技术水平不断提升，加速我国重型汽车领域高端技术的推广和应用，尽快缩短行业与国际先进水平的差距，从根本上提高我国重型汽车工业的核心竞争力，在山东省和济南市政府的大力关心和支持下，重汽集团积极筹备组建国家重型汽车工程技术研究中心，经过两年不懈的努力，终于得到科技部的正式批准。为保证中心组建项目的顺利实施，科技部在科技经费方面也给予了部分支持，地方政府也给予相应的配套经费，中国重汽集团提供不少于1.8亿元的组建经费，并且每年提供不少于8000万元的科研经费，以支持中心正常运转。

In order to further accelerate the development of China's heavy-duty vehicle industry, promote the continuous improvement of the overall technical level of heavy-duty vehicles in China, accelerate the promotion and application of high-end technologies in the field of heavy-duty vehicles in China, shorten the gap between the industry and the international advanced level as soon as possible, and fundamentally improve the core competitiveness of China's heavy-duty vehicle industry, with the strong care and support of the governments of Shandong Province and Jinan City, Heavy Duty Truck Group actively prepared to establish the National Heavy Duty Truck Engineering Technology Research Center, and after two years of unremitting efforts, it finally received formal approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the center's establishment project, the Ministry of Science and Technology has also provided partial support in terms of scientific and technological funding, and local governments have also provided corresponding supporting funds. China National Heavy Duty Truck Group provides no less than 180 million yuan in establishment funding, and annually provides no less than 80 million yuan in scientific research funding to support the normal operation of the center.
