正在怀柔雁栖湖景区建设的雁栖湖国际会都项目进展顺利，核心区的征地拆迁工作一期已经基本完成，拆迁安置房工程已经全面启动。今年力争核心区会议中心、精品酒店和贵宾别墅部分主体工程完工，雁栖湖国际会都对外联络通道年底前通车。

据介绍，北京雁栖湖生态发展示范区位于怀柔雁栖湖畔，规划总用地约21平方公里，总建设用地约8.5平方公里。根据规划区的功能定位与发展目标，未来将建成一个具有中国文化特色、国际一流水平的会议会展区和生态发展示范区，具备接待G20首脑会议等大型国际会议和开展大型高端商务会展活动能力。
