上海游泳馆总建筑面积达15827平方米。主馆占地面积6117平方米。馆内设有比赛池、跳水池、训练池，现通过改造原先1/2比赛池的底部经垫高变成可容纳300人左右的浅水泳池，另一半深水区仍被保留，以适应不同泳客的需要。其体育设施、规格和技术要求均按国际比赛标准，可为国际、国内游泳、跳水、水球、花样游泳及蹼泳等水上项目的比赛和训练提供场地服务。

 

The total construction area of Shanghai natatorium is 15827 square meters. The main hall covers an area of 6117 square meters. There are competition pool, diving pool and training pool in the museum. Now, the bottom of the original 1/2 competition pool is upgraded into a shallow water pool that can accommodate about 300 people, and the other half of the deep-water area is still preserved to meet the needs of different swimmers. Its sports facilities, specifications and technical requirements are in accordance with international competition standards, and can provide venue services for the competition and training of international and domestic swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, webbing swimming and other water sports.

 

 

多年来，上海游泳馆一直是上海各类水上运动队训练的主要基地，曾培养了庄泳、杨文意、乐靖宜、沈坚强、蒋丞稷等世界级冠军及运动健将。

 

For many years, Shanghai natatorium has been the main training base for all kinds of water sports teams in Shanghai. It has trained world-class champions and athletes such as Zhuang Yong, Yang Wenyi, lejingyi, Shen jiangqiang, Jiang Chengji and so on.

 

 

上海游泳馆建于1983年。观众席位4099个。游泳馆整体结构呈六角形，新颖别致，最高处29米，馆内净高16米，设施先进，不因室内温度和湿度产生结露。馆内设有国际标准比赛池、跳水池及练习池各1个。比赛池长50米，宽21米，水下两侧有镝灯窗孔各17个。跳水池长25米，宽21米，水深4～4.5米，池底置有供运动员观察水面位置的起波设备，池正中端置有跳台7个、跳板3个，10米主跳台配有升降电梯2座。练习池长50米，宽8米，需要时可分隔成2个25米短池。此外，3个池都设有水下观察窗供教学、科研、摄像使用。配套设施有陆上训练房、舞蹈房、贵宾室等。现为全国游泳、跳水、水球、花样游泳、蹼泳等竞赛和训练的最大室内温水游泳馆。建馆以来，先后接待过许多国家运动员的来访和比赛，承办过国际最高级别的第四届世界杯跳水比赛等大赛。国际奥林匹克运动委员会主席萨马兰奇参观后赞誉上海游泳馆“是世界第一流的”。

 

Shanghai natatorium was built in 1983. There are 4099 spectator seats. The overall structure of the swimming pool is hexagonal, novel and unique, with a maximum of 29 meters and a net height of 16 meters. The facilities are advanced, and there is no condensation due to indoor temperature and humidity. There is an international standard competition pool, a diving pool and an exercise pool in the museum. The competition pool is 50 meters long and 21 meters wide. There are 17 dysprosium lamp windows on both sides of the water. The diving pool is 25 meters long, 21 meters wide, and 4 ~ 4.5 meters deep. The bottom of the pool is equipped with wave starting equipment for athletes to observe the position of the water surface. The middle end of the pool is equipped with 7 diving platforms and 3 springboards. The 10 meter main diving platform is equipped with 2 elevators. The training pool is 50 meters long and 8 meters wide. It can be divided into two 25 meter short pools when necessary. In addition, the three pools are equipped with underwater observation windows for teaching, scientific research and camera use. Supporting facilities include land training room, dance room, VIP room, etc. It is now the largest indoor warm water swimming pool for swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, webbing swimming and other competitions and training in China. Since its establishment, the museum has received the visits and competitions of athletes from many countries, and hosted the fourth World Cup diving competition and other competitions at the highest level in the world. Samaranch, chairman of the International Olympic Committee, praised the Shanghai natatorium as "the first-class in the world" after his visit.
