长沙梅溪湖国际文化艺术中心由三个相对独立的单体组成，包括一个 1800 座的大剧场、一个 500 座的小剧场(多功能厅)、一个当代艺术馆；以及为整个项目配套的零售,餐厅和咖啡厅，以及为以上公共设施配套的设备用房、剧务用房、演出用房、行政用房、停车场等。

The Changsha Meixi Lake International Cultural and Art Center is composed of three relatively independent units, including a 1800 seat large theater, a 500 seat small theater (multi-functional hall), and a contemporary art museum; As well as supporting retail, restaurants, and cafes for the entire project, as well as equipment rooms, theater rooms, performance rooms, administrative rooms, parking lots, etc. for the above public facilities.

扎哈·哈迪德建筑师事务所为文化艺术中心提出的概念是一个城市性的，由不同场所围绕“中心广场”所构成的网络。这些场所是：大剧场，艺术馆，小剧场（多功能剧场）和商业设施。文化艺术中心的设计结合了不同的层次，建立起一个鲜明的个性，避免建筑设计过于单一或者视觉混乱。三个主要的建筑组成一个相辅相成的一个家族。各个建筑单体的形态与功能相呼应。这种独立有个性的形式强烈地散发着城市的易读性及参观方向的清晰性。多变性与连贯性的结合，是建立强烈城市感的最好途径。

The concept proposed by Zaha Hadid Architects for the Culture and Art Center is an urban network consisting of different places around the "central square". These places are: large theaters, art galleries, small theaters (multi-functional theaters), and commercial facilities. The design of the Cultural and Art Center combines different levels to establish a distinct personality, avoiding overly singular or visually chaotic architectural design. The three main buildings form a complementary family. The form and function of each individual building correspond. This independent and personalized form strongly exudes the legibility of the city and the clarity of the visiting direction. The combination of variability and coherence is the best way to establish a strong sense of city.

长沙梅溪湖国际文化艺术中心的总体布局功能分区明确，各部分相对独立又有紧密的联系。地下室中的停车库是共享的，各单体的地下区域既独立又有联系。到地上部分，三个单体相对独立，各据基地一角，大剧场位于东面，小剧场位于西南面，艺术馆位于西北面。三个单体的主入口均面向中心广场，位于不同的标高，方便大量人流集散又利于广场空间与大堂空间之间的连续贯通。各单体的后勤办公，货运通道，设备区域均位于相对面向中心广场的前厅而言的后区，位置相对安静，流线清晰独立，避免大量人流的干扰。

The overall layout and functional zoning of Changsha Meixi Lake International Cultural and Art Center are clear, with each part relatively independent and closely connected. The parking garage in the basement is shared, and the underground areas of each individual building are both independent and connected. To the above ground part, the three individual buildings are relatively independent, each located in a corner of the base. The large theater is located to the east, the small theater is located to the southwest, and the art museum is located to the northwest. The main entrances of the three individual buildings all face the central square and are located at different elevations, facilitating the distribution of a large number of people and facilitating the continuous connection between the square space and the lobby space. The logistics offices, freight channels, and equipment areas of each unit are located in the back area relative to the front hall facing the central square, with relatively quiet locations and clear and independent flow lines to avoid interference from a large number of people.

建筑造型缘起于“芙蓉花”，每个单体由“芙蓉花”的花瓣衍生而来。大剧场为四片花瓣，艺术馆为三片花瓣，小剧场为一片花瓣，高高低低地散落在梅溪湖畔。

The architectural design originated from the "hibiscus flower", and each individual unit is derived from the petals of the "hibiscus flower". The large theater has four petals, the art museum has three petals, and the small theater has one petal, scattered high and low on the banks of Meixi Lake.

选择恰当的外幕墙材料会更加突出建筑物的三维形态。三个单体建筑外幕墙材料为 GRC 玻璃纤维加强混凝土板与玻璃的组合，大剧场与艺术馆屋面较为平整的区域采用铝单板屋面系统。

Choosing the appropriate exterior curtain wall material will further highlight the three-dimensional shape of the building. The external curtain wall materials of the three individual buildings are a combination of GRC glass fiber reinforced concrete slabs and glass, and the flat areas of the grand theater and art museum roofs use an aluminum veneer roof system.
