为专注于牛仔服饰的时尚品牌 Purple Brand 打造的这处 14,000 平方英尺（约1300平方米）工作空间，位于温哥华 Mount Pleasant 工业区一栋建于1973年的仓库内，项目内容为其室内设计改造。

Built as a 14,000 sq’ (1300 sq.m) workspace for the denim focused fashion label Purple Brand, the project consists of the interior design of a warehouse built in 1973 in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant industrial district.

项目保留了原有建筑外壳，并在预制混凝土楼板结构中央切入一部楼梯，以在上下两层功能之间建立视觉与动线上的直接联系。工作室内部容纳了运营、设计与档案等功能，通过工作组区域、办公室、排版空间、摄影区域以及会议室等多种空间组合进行组织。

The original shell was maintained and a central stair was cut into the precast concrete floor structure to provide a visual and direct connection between the functions housed between the two floors. The working atelier houses operations, design and archives in a combination of workgroups, offices, layout spaces, photography areas and meeting rooms.

空间被打造为一个功能导向的工作室，并将建筑既有材料的表达作为设计核心。新浇筑成型的清水混凝土桌面与楼梯，从原有地面的岁月肌理中自然延展而出。着色胶合板家具与不锈钢轨道系统被用于收纳样品与工作系列，使团队能够随手取用。机电服务系统则被整合进原有结构之中，位于镀锌钢格栅上方；格栅内部设置了吸音板与间接照明，并进一步照亮了原有木板屋顶结构。

The space was designed as a functional studio with the expression of the building’s existing material central to the design. Newly formed as-cast concrete tables and stair extend out of the existing patina of the floors. Pigmented plywood furniture and stainless steel rails are fitted to house the samples and working collection within easy reach of the team. The services are organized within the existing structure above galvanized plank grating which houses acoustic panels and indirect lighting that illuminates the original timber plank roofing.

正如 Purple Brand 以复古与实用主义概念的再演绎作为其牛仔系列设计基础一样，空间中的材料同样强调耐久性，并以原始或着色的方式呈现，使其能够随着时间推移逐渐形成自然使用痕迹。

As with Purple Brand’s re-working of vintage and utilitarian concepts as the basis of their denim collection the materials of the space are selected for durability and used in a raw or pigmented manner to wear in over time.
